3rd Planet is a program that shows images and information for touristic places from all over the world.
This program is a client that connects to the author´s server through the Internet, and updates the information that it shows. The users can browse freely a map of the whole world, and they will see some interesting points marked on it. If they are labeled as "Info", by clicking on them the program will show a frame on the right of the screen with a text and images about that point. If the label says "3D", the program can show a 3D visit to that point. This will include a complete tour through that place, showing you different buildings and monuments, along with information and images about them. At this moment, the program just includes one 3D tour, to Katmandu. But the author will include more in the future, and the users will not have to download anything. The new information will appear in the screen when they load the program, since it gets all the contents online on every startup.
The information that you will see on each pin will be useful for tourists. You will see currency rates, meal costs, history and other interesting data for that point of your travel.
